Help customers who are still in the research phase of the purchase process by impacting them with a remarketing slide in featuring the previously viewed product. This will encourage interest and increase the chances of conversion.
In this article, you will learn how to create a remarketing slide in.
How it works
To display a web remarketing slide in with the last viewed product, we will configure a slide in within the workflow that sends a message to contacts inviting them to view that product. If they trigger it, it will be displayed.
Workflow Configuration
STEP 1. “Start” Node
(In this node, the audience to which the action will be directed is set).
1. Click on (Edit node settings) in the “Start” node.
2. In Select a restriction, check "Entire list" and select "Entire list".
3. In Select data source, check "All existing and new".
4. Click on Apply.
STEP 2. “On page visit” Node
(This node detects contacts who visit the website).
5. Click on (Edit node settings) of the “On page visit” node.
6. Click on Restrictions and uncheck the box "Disable after being triggered".
7. Click on Apply.
STEP 3. “Has viewed product” Node
(This node checks whether the contact has viewed more than 0 products within the last 10 days).
8. Click on (Edit node settings) of the “Has viewed product” node.
9. In Number of times viewed…, select “Is greater than” from the dropdown and enter “0”.
10. In the next section, select “In the last time interval” from the dropdown and enter "10" Days.
11. Click on Update.
STEP 4. First “Send web content: slide in” Node
(In this node, a slide in with a message will be sent).
12. In the connection between this node and the previous one, click the circle until "Yes" appears.
13. Click on (Edit node settings) of the “Send web content” node.
14. Select the corresponding Slide In content and click Next .
15. In this case, select “Immediately”.
16. In the Variables step, link the variables if applicable.
17. Click on Finish .
STEP 5. “On click” Node
(This node will detect when the contact clicks on the previous slide in).
18. Click on (Edit node settings) in the “On click” node.
19. In Select filter type, choose "On click on a specific link in content" and select the corresponding Slide In content to react to. Below, specify the content link that will trigger the reaction.
20. Click on Update.
STEP 6. “Get products” Node
(In this node, the latest products viewed by the contact will be retrieved).
21. Click on (Edit node settings) in the “Get products” node.
22. To select use cases, drag "Last products viewed" to the block on the right. Click Next .
23. In Main case configuration, select "1" under Number of products to retrieve.
24. Click Next .
25. In the Summary step, uncheck "Fill with products up to the selected limit", find the Number of products to retrieve and enter “6”.
26. Click Apply .
STEP 7. Second “Send web content: slide in” Node
(In this node, a slide in with the last viewed product will be sent).
27. Click on (Edit node settings) of the “Send web content” node.
28. Select the corresponding Popup content and click Next .
29. In this case, select “After a few seconds” and under “Show after”, enter “5” Seconds.
30. In the Variables step, link the variables if applicable.
31. Click Finish .
