Installation and Access

 

  • How do I install Brilliant in my store?

    You can search and find Brilliant in the Shopify App Store.

 

  • Where can I install Brilliant?

    You can install Brilliant in any store that uses the Shopify platform.

 

  • What permissions does the app request during installation?

    Brilliant only requests the permissions necessary to analyze your catalog and offer accurate recommendations:

    • read_inventory: To read your product inventory.
    • read_locales: To know the languages available in your store.
    • read_markets: To identify your markets and sales zones.
    • read_metaobject_definitions: To access custom content types.
    • read_publications: To see where products are published (channels).
    • read_translations: To view product translations.
    • write_markets: To add metadata to markets.
    • write_products: To add metadata to products.
    • write_metaobject_definitions: To create metaobject definitions.
    • write_metaobjects: To create or edit the metaobjects required by Brilliant.
    • read_themes: To read the activation status of Brilliant in the current theme.

 

  • How do I know if the installation was completed successfully?

    At the end of the process in Shopify, you will be redirected to a new tab with Brilliant's control panel, where you can configure your first agent.

 

  • How do I know that the agent was created correctly?

    You will see a confirmation message and a progress bar indicating the processing of your store's catalog. Once finished, you can activate the agent.

    If the import process fails, the system will show you an error message and the option to retry.

 

  • Can I use Brilliant in multiple stores?

    Yes, you can install Brilliant in all the Shopify stores you manage independently.

 


 

Initial Configuration

 

  • What is an "agent" in Brilliant?

    The agent is the virtual assistant that will appear in your store for a specific language and currency.

    Note: If you have a store with 2 languages and 2 currencies and want to display the assistant in all possible combinations, you must create 4 separate agents.

 

  • How long does it take to process the catalog?

    Depending on the size of your catalog, the initial processing using artificial intelligence can take from a few minutes to several hours. You can follow the progress from your control panel.

 

  • Can I edit the taxonomy (catalog structure) that the AI automatically creates?

    Yes. You can modify the names of categories and attribute tags (such as color, size, etc.). To make changes, go to Settings / Catalog Structure.

 

  • Can I indicate new items in my catalog?

    Yes, you can select the new products in your catalog from Settings / Product Management. These products are displayed on Brilliant's home screen.

 

  • Can I highlight products from my catalog?

    Yes, you can select the products you want to appear first in searches from Settings / Product Management.

 

  • Can I exclude products from my catalog?

    Yes, you can add any product you do not want to appear in searches or recommendations to a "blacklist" from Settings / Product Management.
