Synchronization via Web Scraping allows you to automate updating the products in your Connectif catalog based on the information available on your website’s product pages. Connectif will periodically visit these pages to retrieve their data and update the catalog according to the configuration you set.
In this article, you will learn how to enable product synchronization via Web Scraping.
STEP 1. Access the Web Scraping Configuration
(In this step, you will access the configuration area for synchronization via Web Scraping in Connectif).
1. In your Connectif Store, from the side menu, go to “Ecommerce > Catalog.”
2. Click on Product Synchronization.
3. In the Web Scraping tab, click Configure.
STEP 2. Set the Synchronization Frequency
(In this step, you will set how often and at what time Connectif will execute the synchronization).
4. Under Synchronization Frequency, select how often you want Connectif to check the product pages in your catalog. You can choose:
- “1 day.”
- “2 days.”
- “3 days.”
- “1 week.”
5. Under Time, select the time when you want each synchronization process to start.
6. In the dropdown Wait time between products, select how long Connectif should wait between querying one product and the next.
7. Enable Include discontinued products if you want Connectif to also check discontinued products during synchronization.
STEP 3. Activate Synchronization
(In this step, you will activate synchronization via Web Scraping).
8. Once you have determined the synchronization settings, click:
- Activate, to save the configuration and execute synchronization according to the set frequency.
- Activate and synchronize immediately, to execute synchronization at that moment and maintain subsequent executions according to the configured frequency.
With this configuration, Connectif will synchronize products via Web Scraping with the frequency and options you have established.
