Static segment

A static segment is a set of contacts created through manual classifications. Its use allows for quick access to customized audiences that can be used in different strategies.

1. Properties

  • In static segments, contacts enter and exit manually or via a workflow.

Unlike the dynamic segment and the dynamic plus segment, a static segment is not configured using conditions.

  • Static segments allow users to be added in bulk via a contact import.
  • In static segments, contacts can be grouped based on their behavior in a workflow.

For example: if a user searches for the product "desk," which belongs to the "office furniture" category, they are added to the "Interested in office furniture" segment.

7. During the import process, choose to import a CSV file with contact data or paste them directly into the interface.

If some of the contacts in the CSV already exist in Connectif and you also want to add them to the segment during import, you must check the Overwrite existing option.

Using a Workflow

8. Go to "Workflows" and click on  Create new workflow.

9. Connect a suitable node to the "Start" node so that when the contact performs a specific action, they are added to a segment. For example, the "On Purchase" node.

10. Connect the "Add to segment" node and access its settings.
