Coupons allows you to use the different coupon codes available in your eCommerce and include them in your Connectif strategies to distribute them automatically based on various objectives.
How to Access?
You can access coupons through the path "Ecommerce> Coupons".
Interface
The main coupons interface is composed of four sections:
1. Creation and import history: to add new individual or bulk coupons or review the import history.
2. Search: to search for coupons or coupon sets.
3. Filter: to filter individual or bulk coupons.
4. Coupon list: to view, edit, and delete all coupons available in Connectif.
How It Works
Through workflows, you can assign and automate the sending of individual and bulk coupons once they are created in Connectif.
1. Create Coupons
Import your coupon lists by clicking on Create Coupon Set in the creation block (1) to create a new list. There are two types of coupon sets: individual coupons and multiple coupons.
1.1. Creating an Individual Coupon
Set a name to recognize your coupon set and, under Type, select Individual Coupon.
In “Code”, paste the coupon code created in your CMS or coupon plugin.
Set the limit you previously determined in your CMS or plugin to indicate to Connectif the maximum uses allowed for this coupon.
1.2. Creating Multiple Coupons
Set a name to recognize your multiple coupon set, select Multiple Coupons under Type, and click Import.
Import the list of coupons generated in your CMS or coupon plugin. To do this, choose the CSV file you want to import or paste the list of coupons and click Next .
Select, in the left column, the imported field that contains the coupon codes and drag it to the Code field in Connectif. Click Next .
Click Back to Coupon Set List, where you will find the newly imported set in the coupon list (4).
1.3. Importing Coupons via API
Besides using the Coupons feature, Connectif allows automating bulk coupon imports via the Import API.
2. Using Coupons in Your Strategies
Once you have created the different coupons in your Connectif store, you can use them in your strategies. To automate coupon sending with Connectif, you need several elements:
- Content (any type of content you can create in Connectif) that includes a coupon variable, which will hold the code.
- A workflow where you configure the "Assign Coupon" node to obtain the codes and an action-type node that sends the created content, where you must configure the coupon variable.
The following shows how to create content that contains this variable and the workflow configuration that will send it. This example shows how to do it in a web popup content, but the process is valid for any other content created in Connectif.
2.1. Creating the Content That Will Contain the Coupon
To start, you must create your content, in this case, web popup content. After designing the content and its elements, you should add a Text component to insert the variable that will hold the coupon code.
Once added, go to the Text element’s settings and click on the option to Insert a dynamic variable, as shown in the image:
In the pop-up window, assign an ID (i.e., a name to recognize it) in the Variable ID field and click accept.
Once you have finished designing the content, save it.
2.2. Sending the Coupon via a Workflow
Once the content is created, you must configure the workflow that will send the coupon to your contacts.
To do this, create a new workflow and add the necessary nodes to configure your strategy. In this example, when a contact visits a specific page on the website, the strategy will activate, a coupon will be assigned, and it will be displayed via a popup.
In the workflow, add the Action node “Assign Coupon”, which will obtain the corresponding coupon code for the strategy.
Access the node’s configuration and select the coupon set you created for this strategy.
Save the node configuration and then add an Action node to the workflow that sends the content containing the coupon.
Access the node’s configuration and select the content you created for this strategy.
In the Variables step, associate the Coupon Code value from the “Assign Coupon” node with the variable {{coupon}} created in the content (Point 2.1.). This way, Connectif will obtain the assigned coupon code and automatically display it in the content.
Once the node is configured according to your strategy goals, save and activate the workflow.
3. Review Coupon Set Statistics
Review the usage of coupons imported into Connectif through two methods.
Set Statistics
In the coupon list (4), you can quickly check usage data for each set, such as the number of coupons assigned or sent, those remaining available, etc. To access detailed statistics for a coupon set, click (Statistics).
Coupon Activity in the Contact Profile
Access the contact profile and, in the Activity tab, filter by Coupon Assigned to check if a coupon has been assigned to a specific contact.
