How it works

Trigger-type nodes are activated in real time when they detect that the contact is carrying out an activity in the ecommerce site. The "On Web Content Click" node detects clicks on web content created in Connectif or on links in your ecommerce site that include aliases, allowing you to customize the strategy response according to the contact’s interaction with the content.

The settings for the "On Web Content Click" node offer three types of filters that allow you to adapt the behavior of the node to any type of scenario:

— When a user clicks any link in a type of content.

— When a user clicks on a specific link in a piece of content.

— By clicking on a link indicated manually.

1. When a user clicks any link in a type of content

In the Configuration of the "On Web Content Click" node, select "On click on any link in any content of specific type" as filter (2).

In the filter settings (3), select the type or types of content you want to detect when contacts click.

In the "On Web Content Click", nodes, by default, this filter is applied with all selected content types. If you click on any content, it will be unchecked.

In our example, the "On Web Content Click" node is configured to detect clicks on any link in all inline content.

If the content has multiple links, select which links the node should be activated on.

In our example, the "On Web Content Click" node is configured to detect the click on the link that leads to the Outlet in a carousel of discounted products that is displayed at the checkout.
