The trigger node "On Web Content Click" detects clicks made on your website content and responds to them with other actions. This node makes it easy to create campaigns with a higher degree of personalization and offers more precise targeting, among other benefits.
How to access it
In your workflows, drag the node "On Web Content Click" from the right-hand menu to the design area. You can access its settings by clicking (Edit node configuration).
Interface
The main interface of the "On Web Content Click" node is composed of three blocks:
1. Node parameters: to edit the settings and limitations of the node or to view the exported data.
2. Filter type: to screen for clicks on website content that will be detected by the node.
3. Filter settings options: for configuring filter options, these will vary depending on the type of filter selected.
How it works
Trigger-type nodes are activated in real time when they detect that the contact is carrying out an activity in the ecommerce site. The "On Web Content Click" node detects clicks on web content created in Connectif or on links in your ecommerce site that include aliases, allowing you to customize the strategy response according to the contact’s interaction with the content.
The settings for the "On Web Content Click" node offer three types of filters that allow you to adapt the behavior of the node to any type of scenario:
— When a user clicks any link in a type of content.
— When a user clicks on a specific link in a piece of content.
— By clicking on a link indicated manually.
1. When a user clicks any link in a type of content
In the Configuration of the "On Web Content Click" node, select "On click on any link in any content of specific type" as filter (2).
In the filter settings (3), select the type or types of content you want to detect when contacts click.
2. When a user clicks a specific link in content
In the Configuration of the "On Web Content Click", node, select "On click on some specific link of one content" as filter (2).
In the filter settings (3), select the specific content you want to detect when contacts click. You can use the filters at the top of the configuration options to help you locate specific content.
If the content has multiple links, select which links the node should be activated on.
3. When you click on a link indicated manually
In the Configuration of the "On Web Content Click", node, select "On click on some of the following manually specified links" as filter (2).
In the filter configuration options (3), you have two different options to define the link or links you want to detect when contacts click.
- Link URL
In the filter settings (3), click Link URL and add the URL you want to detect when contacts click. If you want to detect more than one link, click Add link for each additional URL.
- Link alias
In the filter settings (3), click Link alias and add the alias of the links you want to detect when contacts click. If you want to detect more than one alias, click Add alias for each additional value.
