Popup web content

Popup-type web content is a window that is superimposed over the content of your website, in any position on the screen. It allows you to grab contacts’ attention immediately and highlight something specific, such as a special campaign or subscription forms.

In addition to the popup content explained in this article, Connectif works with up to five types of web content that you can use to personalize the interaction with your contacts:
Inline web content.
Full-screen web content.
Slide-in web content.
Floating bar web conten.

1. Properties

  • The pop-up, like other web content (except inline), is superimposed on the content of your ecommerce site, so no changes are required to the structure of the site.
  • Pop-up web content is designed in the Web Content Editor, so no programming knowledge is required to create it.
  • Pop-ups allow you to display personalized content anywhere on your website and in response to your contacts’ activity.
  • Using workflows, you can change the behavior of pop-up content depending on the contact and/or their actions. You can also establish responses to users’ interactions with the content.
  • A pop-up generates statistics related to its views, interactions and participation in the purchase process.

1.1. General properties

Las propiedades generales que definen un contenido web de tipo popup son las siguientes:

  • Name: the name of the floating bar, to identify it in your Connectif account.

  • Tags: classification of the content to help you recognize and locate it quickly. Click   Enter tags and add keywords to help you identify it.
  • Layout: position on the screen where the popup will be displayed.
  • Animations: your popup’s opening and closing animation as well as the duration of these animations.
  • Borders and corners: color, thickness and style of the border of your content, as well as the radius of the corners to soften/round their angle.
  • Background: color and image effects for the background layer that is superimposed on your ecommerce site and against which the popup bar is displayed.
  • Shadow: color and shading effects of the structure that will display your content.
  • Close button: style options for the button that closes the popup.
  • Z Index: numerical value indicating the order of overlapping layers.
  • Close this content on click outside: how the popup will behave if the contact clicks anywhere else on the website.
  • Responsive breakpoint: responsive design threshold (up to what screen width will be understood as a mobile device).

2.3. Respond to a click on a popup

When a contact clicks on a popup, you can respond with new actions using the node "On Web Content Click". This way, you can give your campaigns a greater degree of personalization.

2.4. Check statistics of ap popup

Once implemented in a working strategy, pop-up content provides access to two types of data:

  • Statistics related to customer interaction with that content, such as views and clicks, among others.
  • Sales attributed to interaction with that content.

With this information, you can find out how much impact the popup content is having in each workflow where it is used.
