“Check value” node

The "Check value" node, which is a condition node, is used to check the value of the data imported by previous nodes. You can use it to filter the contact journey based on the data to be reviewed and the conditions it must meet.


How to access it

In your workflows, drag the “Check valuenode from the right-hand menu to the design area. You can access its settings by clicking (Edit node settings).




The main interface of the "Check value" node is composed of four blocks:

1. Node parameters: to edit the settings or view the exported data.

2. Data available to evaluate: to select the field on which the condition will be evaluated. It includes a search field to make it easy to find the data.

3. Comparison data available: to select the value by which the data will be compared. It includes a search field to make it easy to find the data.

4. Node condition: to define the condition by which the node will evaluate. This, in turn, is composed of three blocks.

4.1. Field to evaluate: to establish the field on which the condition will be evaluated.

4.2. Operators: to set the operator that defines the condition that the node evaluates.

4.3 Comparison value: to set the value against which the field to be evaluated will be compared.



How it works

Condition nodes are used to filter contacts, allowing you to segment the actions of a workflow more precisely. The "Check value" node is used to verify whether or not the contact meets a certain condition, based on the data imported by the previous nodes, before directing them through the flow. 

As a result, the"Check value" node allows you to review any value of a field that is present in any of the nodes that precede it in the workflow.


1. Check a value

In the Configuration of the "Check value" node, select the data that the node should check from the menu of data available to review (2) and drag it to the node condition panel (4.1). This value can be from the contact file or from the preceding nodes.


The contact file data is obtained from the "Home" node.


Click on the operator dropdown (4.2) and select the condition you want to use as a comparison. The options you have in the operator (4.2) will depend on the data to be reviewed.


Select the value you want to check from the comparison values ​​menu (3) and drag it to the comparison value (4.3). This can be a literal value (date and time), in which case you must indicate exactly the data it must contain, or a dynamic value, in other words system data.



In our example, the node will check that the contacts that reach it have the "Newsletter subscription status" field as "Subscribed".
