Newsletter subscription with double opt-in (inline)

Increase the number of contacts who subscribe to your newsletter by showing them inline content when they visit your site and using the double opt-in technique. With this technique, you’ll avoid adding contacts who have mistakenly provided their email address to your subscriber list, thereby improving deliverability.

In this article, you’ll learn how to create a newsletter subscription popup with the double opt-in technique.

Objective: Acquisition.
Difficulty: Intermediate.
When to use it: In acquisition campaigns.

This strategy is part of our pool of templates. To implement it in your account, access your Connectif account and go to “Workflows Create new workflow”. In the Create from template section, enter the name of the workflow in the search engine (Newsletter subscription with double opt-in) then click Select and Create.

How it works

To create this strategy, we’ll set up inline content in the workflow with the subscription form, together with a daily limitation so that once it has been displayed, it won’t appear on subsequent pages visited.
After submitting the form, a popup will be displayed indicating that the form has been submitted, and a first confirmation email will be sent to the contact.
Finally, when the contact confirms the subscription, a welcome email will be sent and, on the website, another popup will appear that will also welcome the contact to the newsletter.
