Low CLV

Identifying contacts with a below-average CLV for your eCommerce and low purchase forecasts will help you take action to convert them into repeat customers. Once segmented, you’ll be able to send them, for example, a discount coupon to reengage them. 

In this article you’ll learn how to segment customers with low CLV and low purchase forecast.

  

This dynamic plus segment is part of our Coupon to reactivate low-CLV customers template.

Remember that you can create your dynamic plus segment in "Contacts Segments", by clicking Create new segment and selecting "Dynamic plus segment".

 

Segmentation

In this segment, group together contacts who are subscribed to the newsletter and who have both a below-average Customer Lifetime Value for your eCommerce and an expected number of purchases of less than 1, within a year.

Configuring a dynamic plus segment

STEP 1. Contacts included

FILTER 1. Contacts subscribed to the newsletter

1. Click "Select field or activity”. When the dropdown opens, select the "Contact profile" group on the left and, in the fields on the right, choose "Newsletter subscription status”.

2. In the second dropdown, choose "Is equal to" and indicate "Subscribed" in the next dropdown that appears.

3. On the right, click "And".

FILTER 2. Customer Lifetime Value

4. Click "Select field or activity”. When the dropdown opens, select the "Value indicators" group on the left and, in the Metrics on the right, "Customer Lifetime Value (12m)".

5. In the next dropdown, select "Is less than", and set, for this example, a value of "100".

6. On the right, click "And".

FILTER 3. Forecast number of purchases

7. Click "Select field or activity”. When the dropdown opens, select the "Value indicators" group on the left-hand side and, in the Metrics on the right, "Forecast number of purchases (12m)".

8. In the next dropdown, select "Is less than", and set a value of "1".

9. Click Save.
