Increase sales of specific products by offering them for a limited time using slide-in content.
In this article, you’ll learn how to create a flash offer strategy.
How it works
To create this strategy, configure a workflow with slide in content featuring an icon that leads to the product on offer on the website. Once the main icon is clicked, the workflow fetches the product and shows it in a new slide in.
Workflow configuration
STEP 1. "Start" node
(This node will set the target audience for the action).
1. Click (Edit node settings) for the “Start” node.
2. Under Select limitation, check "All my list".
3. Under Select data source, check “All existing and new”.
4. Click Update.
STEP 2. “On page visit” node
(This node will detect contacts who visit the website).
5. Click (Edit node settings) in the “On page visit” node.
6. Under Limitations, uncheck the "Deactivate after triggering" box.
7. Click Update.
STEP 3. First "Send web content: slide in" node
(This will send node a slide in with the offer activation icon).
8. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Send web content” node.
9. Click on the corresponding slide in .
10. Click Update.
STEP 4. “On link click” node
(This node will detect the contact's click on the slide in content shown in the previous node).
11. Click (Edit node settings) in the “On link click” node.
12. In Select the type of filter, choose "On clicking on a specific link in content" and select the corresponding Slide In content to which it should react. Below, determine the link of the content you want it to react to.
13. Click Update.
STEP 5. “Fetch products” node
(This node will fetch the selected product).
14. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Fetch products” node.
15. To select use cases, drag “Manually selected products” to the block on the right. Click Next .
16. In Main use case settings, manually select the product you want to fetch.
17. Click Next .
18. In Summary, locate the Number of products to fetch and choose “1”. Uncheck the box "Fill with products until selected limit".
19. Click Complete .
STEP 6. Second "Send web content: slide in" node
(This node will send a slide in with the product selected in the previous node).
20. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Send web content” node.
21. Click on the corresponding slide in .
22. Complete the Variables in the last configuration section.
23. Click Update.
