This makes it easier to obtain missing data from contacts registered on your website, via a floating bar that pops up when they log in.
In this article you’ll learn how to create a data-gathering strategy.
How it works
In the workflow, configure a floating bar with the data form to be obtained together with a limitation of 15 days, so that once it is displayed, it does not appear on subsequent pages visited. After submitting the form, the information obtained is stored.
Workflow configuration
STEP 1. "Start" node
(In this node, you’ll set the target audience for the action).
1. Click (Edit node settings) for the “Start” node.
2. Under Select limitation, check "All my list".
3. Under Select data source, check “All existing and new”.
4. Click Update.
STEP 2. "On login" node
(This node will detect the contacts that log in to the website).
5. Click (Edit node settings) in the “On login” node.
6. Under Limitations, uncheck the "Deactivate after triggering" box.
7. Click Update.
STEP 3. “Check value” node
(This node will identify if we have the contact's telephone number).
8. Click (Edit node settings) of the “Check value” node.
9. Drag the "Mobile phone" field from "Contact" to the left-hand block.
10. Under Operator, select "Is empty".
11. Click Update.
STEP 4. First "Send web content: floating bar" node
(This node will send a floating bar with the newsletter subscription form).
12. At the junction of this node with the previous one, click on the circle until "Yes" appears.
13. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Send web content” node.
14. Select the corresponding Floating bar content and click Next .
15. In the Variables step, link any variables there may be.
16. Click Complete .
STEP 5. “On opening of web content” node
(This node will limit the node on login so that it doesn’t react to each visit for 15 days).
17. Click (Edit node settings) in the “On opening of web content” node.
18. Click One specific content and select the Floating bar content shown in the previous node.
19. For Limitations, in the section Add external limitation, choose "On login" from the drop-down menu and, in the next one, "Deactivate for a period". Next, indicate "15" Days.
20. Click Update.
STEP 6. “On form submission” node
(This node will detect the moment when the form is sent).
21. Click (Edit node settings) in the “On form submission” node.
22. Click on A specific form.
23. Next, select the form that should be reacted to. In this case, the form shown in the floating bar.
24. Click on Limitations and check the "Deactivate after triggering" box.
25. Click Update.
STEP 7. “Set field” node
(In this node the contact's phone number will be established in the corresponding field).
26. Click (Edit node settings) for the “Set field” node.
27. Drag the "Phone" field from "On form submission" to the block to the left of the "Mobile phone" field.
28. Under Operator, select "Assign".
29. Click Update.
