List clean-up

Cleaning up your contact lists helps you to exponentially improve your email campaign results. Refining your lists, both before importing them into your account and on a regular basis, will help you optimize your budget by only targeting active customers.

In this article, you'll learn how to clean up your contact lists.

Difficulty: Beginner.
When to use it: Periodically.

This strategy is part of our pool of templates. To implement it in your account, go to "Workflows Create new workflow" and, once you’ve located it in the Create from template section, click + Select and + Create.

How it works

To weed out inactive contacts, we'll segment all contacts who haven't opened emails or made a purchase for more than 90 days and were created more than sixty days ago. In future newsletter mailings, we may use this segment to exclude them.
