Copilot Segments is the smart assistant functionality in Connectif that allows you to easily create contact segments according to your needs. Based on the description you provide to Copilot about the audience you want to segment, it will automatically generate the segment, choosing between Dynamic or Dynamic Plus, with the appropriate filters for your request.
This article explains how Copilot Segments creation works.
1. Properties
- Copilot Segments automatically generates contact segments based on the request/description made by the user.
- Once the user provides the description, Copilot Segments will generate the contact segment with filters appropriate to the request.
- Copilot’s response will direct to the segment creation interface, which must be reviewed and saved by the user in the Store in order to use it.
- The generated segment will include options (AND and OR) as well as exclusions to generate the desired audience. Copilot will also assign it a name and description for easy identification in the Connectif Store.
- The assistant will select the appropriate segment type based on the needs, choosing between Dynamic or Dynamic Plus. If both types are possible, Copilot will prioritize Dynamic segments.
- If the limit of Dynamic Plus Segments created in the Store has been reached and the assistant generates this type of segment, it will not be possible to save it unless one of the existing Dynamic Plus Segments is deleted.
- To generate the segment, it must include system fields or previously created custom fields. The assistant cannot generate a segment based on filter requests with fields that do not exist in the Store.

2. How to use it in Connectif
Access Copilot Segments through the left-hand menu, clicking on Copilot and then selecting Generate Segment.
You can also access via "Contacts > Segments" by clicking on Generate segment with AI.
2.1. Generating a segment
1. In the Copilot Segments interface, provide the assistant with the segment description in the "Describe your segment" field and click Generate segment.
2. Once ready, Copilot will display a success message. To view the generated segment, click View segment.
3. Review the filters added by the assistant and save the segment to use it in your strategies, or modify it if needed.
4. You can generate a new segment from the same pop-up by clicking Generate a new segment.
