Versions of the Contact Export API

Connectif allows you to automate massive exports of contacts and activities through the Export API. Such export will include certain modifications depending on the version of the API used. 

In this article, the properties of the Export API for Contact Sheets and the changes in each version are explained.

 

1. Properties

  • If you want to automate periodically (daily, weekly…) the export of all or a large part of your contacts and/or their activities, you can use the Export API.
  • The export request contains different editable Properties, among which is the version (version) of said export.
  • The property referring to the export version can be specified, in order to generate a CSV file containing certain fields, depending on the version selected.
  • These versions present some variations so when changing the version, the generated CSV file will present differences, which must be taken into account (see section 2).
  • If no version is specified, V1 will be used by default.
  • In the functionality of contact exports of the platform, the export version will always be the most recent.

 

2. How it’s used in Connectif: changes introduced in the versions

Below are listed the fields and activities with changes introduced in each of the versions, showing the most recent versions first:

 

Version V5

a. Contacts

Fields added:

  • Date of last newsletter subscription
  • IP of the last newsletter subscription
  • Origin of the last newsletter subscription
  • Origin of the last newsletter unsubscription
  • Origin of creation

Fields modified:

  • Last unsubscribed date: becomes Date of last newsletter unsubscription
  • Last unsubscribed IP: becomes IP of the last newsletter unsubscription
     

b. Activity type: contact-created

Fields added:

  • Origin

 

Version V4

a. Activity type: contact‑merged

Fields added:

  • Previous contact ID
     

b. Activity type: purchase

Fields added:

  • Content ID
  • Content name
  • Content tags
  • Workflow ID
  • Workflow name
  • Workflow tags
  • Attribution confidence
  • Attribution scenario

     

Version V3

a. Contacts

Version V2

  • Purchase origin: becomes Origin
     

b. Activity type: custom‑event

Fields added:

  • Origin

  • SDK version (only when mobile-app is enabled)

  • Operating system version (only when mobile-app is enabled)

  • Device
     

c. Activity type: newsletter‑subscribe

Fields added:

  • Page visit referer: becomes Referer
     

g. Activity type: email‑link‑clicked
