Workflows Area

Workflows is where all the flows created in your Connectif account are stored. From this screen, you can access and manage the different strategies, as well as create new workflows and start those that are ready.

How to access it

You can access the Workflows interface through the access button in your account.

Interface

The main Workflows interface consists of 4 sections:

1. Creation, priority, search, and filtering: to create a new workflow, sort existing flows based on their priority, and locate or filter the results shown in the list.

2. Workflow folders: to organize workflows into folders and subfolders.

3. Workflow list: to browse workflows. By default, it displays all existing flows and, when filters are used, the resulting selection. Each workflow in the list will display different options depending on its status:

  • Edit: to design a workflow. For flows that are in draft status and need to be completed before they can be activated.
  • Start: to start a workflow. For flows that are in draft status and do not contain issues.
  • Finish: to finish a workflow. For flows that have been started.
  • Live view: to view workflow statistics. For flows that have been finished and already have data to display, as well as for active flows.

How it works

Workflows displays, by default, all flows created in the account. Browse its interface or use one of the search features to find the workflow you want to access.

Use priorities and folders to organize your strategies, export them, or create a new one from templates, from scratch, or by importing an existing workflow.

1. Create a new workflow

There are several options for adding a new workflow to your account:

1.1. Create a blank workflow

In the creation area (1), click  Create new workflow.

You can also duplicate a workflow from the workflow list (4) by clicking  (More) and Duplicate.

2. Edit an existing workflow

In the workflow list (4), locate the flow you want to activate and click  (More) and  Edit.

If a workflow has already been started, you will only be able to edit some settings for certain nodes; you will not be able to add or delete nodes.

When you click to edit a workflow, you will access the workflow editor, where you can continue configuring it.

4. Import and export a workflow

Connectif allows you to export a workflow to a file so that you can share it later. Once exported, it can be imported into any Connectif account.

In addition, when a workflow is exported, the content and forms it contains will also be exported.

You can export any workflow, regardless of its status: draft, active, finished, etc. However, you cannot export a workflow containing custom integration nodes.

4.1. Export a workflow for later use

Things to keep in mind:
- The export file will include the segments and custom fields you have defined, but they will not be created; the existing ones in the destination account will be used instead.
- If a product has been added as a filter in any node in the workflow, this filter will be excluded from the export.
- References to embedded forms will also not be included in the export.

In the workflow list (4), locate the flow you want to export, hover over it, and select the checkbox.

If you want, you can select several workflows to export them at the same time.

In the selection and duplication area (2), click   (Export).

Workflows - 9.png

When you export, a download of the export file in ".cn" format will begin, and a success message will be displayed in the workflow list (4).

Select the ".cn" file from your computer to start the import, or drag it directly to the   Import workflow area. Once imported, the workflow will be created in draft status and will open automatically.

Review the imported workflow, change the content if necessary, and resolve any errors or alerts it may contain.

5. Delete a workflow

In the workflow list (4), locate the flow you want to delete, hover over it, and select the checkbox.

If you want, you can select several workflows to delete them at the same time.

In the selection and duplication area (2), click   (Delete).

Workflows - 13.png

In the alert message that appears, click Delete workflow to confirm the deletion of the Connectif workflow.

Workflows - 14.png

Once deleted, a success message will be displayed in the workflow list (4).

6. Pause a started workflow

In the workflow list (4), locate the flow you want to pause and click  (More) and Pause.

The Pause option only appears for active workflows. Workflows paused for more than 3 months will be automatically finished.

A paused workflow can be resumed at any time.

7. Finish a workflow

In the workflow list (4), locate the flow you want to finish and click Finish.

The Finish option only appears for active workflows.
