Offer your customers discounted products on the website according to their RFM segmentation, using inline content to increase eCommerce sales.
In this article you’ll learn how to create inline content with a dynamic offer.
How it works
To display the banner, we’ll configure a workflow with inline web content for each of the branches, which will appear with the selected discounted products when a contact belonging to the RFM segment visits the website.
Workflow configuration
STEP 1. “Start” node
(This node will set the target audience for the action).
1. Click (Edit node settings) for the “Start” node.
2. Under Select limitation, check “All my list”.
3. Under Select data source, check “All existing and new”.
4. Click Update.
STEP 2. “On page visit” node
(This node will detect contacts who visit any page with a category).
5. Click (Edit node settings) in the “On page visit” node.
6. Under Limitations, uncheck the “Deactivate after triggering” box.
7. Click Update.
STEP 3. First “Is in segment” node
(This node will check if the contact belongs to the first Dynamic Plus segment created, for High RFM)
8. Click (Edit node settings) for the “Is in segment” node.
9. Under Select a segment, choose the segment to check.
10. Click Update.
STEP 4. First “Fetch products” node
(This node will fetch the discounted products that belong to the Low Discounts product segment).
11. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Fetch products” node.
12. To select the use cases, drag “Filtered products” to the block on the right and "Best sellers" to the additional use case. Click Next .
13. In Main use case settings, select “10” in Number of products to fetch.
14. In Select the source of the products, choose “In a product segment” in the first selector and, in the second, the created segment. In this case, “Low discounts”. Click Next .
15. In Additional case settings, select “10” for Number of products to fetch.
16. In Select the source of the products, choose “In a product segment” in the first selector and, in the second, the created segment. In this case, "Discounted products".
17. Under Select the time period of the purchases, choose "Last month's best sellers" and click Next .
18. In Summary, locate the section Number of products to fetch and indicate “10”. Then uncheck the box “Fill with products until selected limit”.
19. Click Complete .
STEP 5. First “Send web content: inline” node
(This node will send inline content with the products fetched in the previous node).
20. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Send web content” node.
21. Select the corresponding inline content and click Next .
22. In Configuration add the appropriate selector to display the content.
23. In the Variables step, link any variables there may be.
24. Click Complete .
STEP 6. Second “Is in segment” node
(This node will check if the contact belongs to the first Dynamic Plus segment created, for Medium RFM)
25. Click (Edit node settings) for the “Is in segment” node.
26. Under Select a segment, choose the segment to check.
27. Click Update.
STEP 7. Second “Fetch products” node
(This node will fetch the discounted products that belong to the Medium discounts product segment).
28. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Fetch products” node.
29. To select the use cases, drag “Filtered products” to the block on the right and "Best sellers" to the additional use case. Click Next .
30. In Main use case settings, select “10” in Number of products to fetch.
31. In Select the source of the products, choose “In a product segment” in the first selector and, in the second, the created segment. In this case, "Medium discounts". Click Next .
32. In Additional case settings, select “10” for Number of products to fetch.
33. In Select the source of the products, choose “In a product segment” in the first selector and, in the second, the created segment. In this case, "Discounted products".
34. Under Select the time period of the purchases, choose “Last month's best sellers” and click Next .
35. In Summary, locate the section Number of products to fetch and indicate “10”. Then uncheck the box “Fill with products until selected limit”.
36. Click Complete .

37. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Send web content” node.
38. Select the corresponding inline content and click Next .
39. In Configuration, add the appropriate selector to display the content.
40. In the Variables step, link any variables there may be.
41. Click Complete .

(This node will check if the contact belongs to the first Dynamic Plus segment created, for Low RFM)
42. Click (Edit node settings) for the “Is in segment” node.
43. Under Select a segment, choose the segment to check.
44. Click Update.

50. In Select the source of the products, choose “In a product segment” in the first selector and, in the second, the created segment. In this case, "Discounted products".
51. Under Select the time period of the purchases, choose “Last month's best sellers” and click Next .
52. In Summary, locate the section Number of products to fetch and indicate “10”. Then uncheck the box “Fill with products until selected limit”.
53. Click Complete .

54. Click (Edit node settings) in the “Send web content” node.
55. Select the corresponding inline content and click Next .
56. In Configuration, add the appropriate selector to display the content.
57. In the Variables step, link any variables there may be.
58. Click Complete .
