Floating bar web content

Este artigo está atualmente disponível em inglês e espanhol. Você pode usar esta documentação enquanto ela não estiver disponível em seu idioma.

Floating bar web content is a fixed strip at the bottom or top of the screen that occupies the entire width and overlaps your website’s content, allowing the contact to browse. You can use it to create an impact without being obtrusive, drawing your contacts’ attention to something specific such as important notices or lead capture.

In addition to the floating bar content explained in this article, Connectif works with up to five types of web content that you can use to personalize the interaction with your contacts:
Inline web content.
Popup web content.
Full-screen web content.
Slide In web content.

1. Properties

  • Floating bars, like all other web content except inline, is superimposed onto your ecommerce site’s content, so there are no changes to the structure of the website.
  • Unlike other superimposed web content, the floating bar stays fixed on the website and allows the user to continue browsing and scrolling normally.
  • Floating bar web content is designed in the Web Content Editor, so no programming knowledge is required to create it.
  • The floating bar allows you to display personalized content when the contact navigates anywhere on your website and in response to their activity.
  • Using workflows, you can change the behavior of the floating bar depending on the contact and/or their actions. You can also establish responses to users’ interaction with the content.
  • A floating bar generates statistics related to its views, interactions and participation in the purchase process.

1.1. General properties

Floating bar web content is defined by the following general properties:

  • Name: the name of the floating bar, to identify it in your Connectif account.

  • Tags: classification of the content to help you recognize and locate it quickly. Click   Enter tags and add keywords to help you identify it.
  • Layout: position on the screen where the floating bar will be displayed.
  • Borders: color, thickness and style of your content borders.
  • Background: color and image effects for the background layer that is superimposed on your ecommerce site and against which the floating bar is displayed.
  • Shadow: color and shading effects of the structure that will display your content.
  • Z Index: numerical value indicating the order of overlapping layers.
  • Responsive breakpoint: responsive design threshold (up to what screen width will be understood as a mobile device).

2.4. View statistics for a floating bar

Once implemented in a working strategy, floating bar content provides access to two types of data:

  • Statistics related to customer interaction with that content, such as views and clicks, among others.
  • Sales attributed to interaction with that content.

With this information, you can find out how much impact the floating bar content is having in each workflow where it is used.
